Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai spin-off: Shaheer Sheikh and Rhea sharma to play the leads
Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is all set to have its own spin-off on the same channel. Producer Rajan Shahi has confirmed the news to a publication that Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is going to have a spin-off which will be aired simultaneously as a separate TV show. So far, Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi star Shaheer Sheikh has been roped in as the male lead. The producer has also confirmed that Shaheer will be seen in a never-before avatar. According to the reports, Tu Sooraj Main Saanjh Peeyaji actor Rhea Sharma will play the female lead opposite Sheikh in the spin-off.
Ritvik Arora, who played the male protagonist in Tu Aashiqui opposite Jannat Zubair is also reported to be in the Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai spin-off. According to report, "The spin-off will see the kids from the Maheshwari family growing up. The spin-off will only address the younger generation of the Maheshwari clan, that is Akshara's family."
