Moong dal halwa:-
Ingredients
1/2 cup moong dal / skinned green
gram dal, 1 and 1/2 cup water, 1/2 cup sugar, 1/4 tsp of elaichi powder
/cardamom powder, 2- 2.5 tbsp melted ghee, cashews or nuts (as desired)
How to make
Take a pan and roast dal on a low
flame. Now pour water and cook with water until it get smooth. It can be cooked
in a pressure cooker till 2 to 3 whistles on a medium flame. Now take out the
dal. Mash the dal very well. Add sugar along with cardamom powder. Cook on a
low flame. Stir it for few minutes till sugar dissolves completely. Take
another pan. Heat ghee and fry nuts in ghee until golden. Set the nuts aside.
Now add some ghee to halwa. Stir and cook for 2 to 3 mins. Garnish with nuts. Serve
it hot.
