A spider web drawn on the upper portion of her ear has been seen on runways for Chanel and even the cover of fashion magazines, like the December 2013 issue of RUSSH -- a popular youth-culture style magazine hailing from Ms McNeil's native Australia.

It is how costume designer Keely Kuykendall got the idea for her own spider web ear tattoo. 'I saw it in a fashion magazine, actually,' she told The Times of Ms McNeil. 'My ear is so big that mind ended up being way more of a statement piece. But I totally copied her.'
