The Brahmin priest was immediately attacked by the disease. Many days passed with his mind extremely agitated, and his body pained. One day, the priest went into the Shiva temple where he met an Apsara. She advised him to perform the vow of Shiva`s worship on sixteen consecutive Mondays. And all his pain and suffering will get completely dissolved if he does that with pure devotion.
