WhatsApp recently introduced a new feature for its Android and iOS users called the live location sharing last week. The Facebook-owned messaging platform is preparing to bring few more features for its users, out of which, one is the voice or video group calling feature. With this feature users will be able to make conference calls - both voice and video to their friend and family members. This is not the first time that we aren hearing about WhatsApp group calling feature. But now, WaBetaInfo - a site that tests new WhatsApp features notes that the feature is being tested and will soon be rolled out in the days to come.
According to WaBetaInfo, WhatsApp may roll out the group calling feature in its next beta update. It further notes that the users will get the feature in the 2.17.70 beta WhatsApp update. Yes as of now, the new feature will be tested by beta users, and eventually roll out to all users.
"The 2.17.70 iOS update has very hidden references to group calls! Before it was an internal news, now it's all confirmed. There are a lot of hidden references about group voice calls, but there is only one reference to group video calls. So group video calls are partially confirmed at the moment," WaBetaInfo tweets.
