Null Stern Hotel
Switzerland is a rich country and could offer hundreds of five-star hotels. However, in Appenzellerland, Teufen to be exact, they have a zero-star hotel. There are no windows in the hotel since it is constructed from a war bunker. The innovation didn't go unnoticed and in 2009 Patrik and Frank Riklin, the artists, who created the place, were nominated at the Worldwide Hospitality Awards. This star-free hotel enters the list of top 100 European hotels and offers its visitors to dive into the spirit of the great past and history. Beds, light and furniture are provided, but the rest of the interior has never been altered.
