We Should All Be Feminists, Anushka strike a pose on Vogue
Anushka's posing in the t-shirt sends out a clear message to Bollywood actors and other women who are afraid to be associated with feminism, because apparently they stand for 'egalitarianism'. Anushka had, earlier as well, called out societal norms that require girls and women to be comely and pleasing to the eye, and also the fact that these are replicated in Bollywood movies. She had said in an interview with Nirupama Chopra, "Girls are expected to be good-looking, look nice, just be interesting enough for a guy to be interested in you in a film."
