Heart It
India may be the seventh largest country in the world, but it is one of the richest in terms of culture, color, diverse landscapes and natural resources. India has a lot of interesting places to visit. But still there are various unseen and hidden places in the country that are less explored.
Pangong Tso
One of the best things that the film '3 Idiots' does for the tourist is that it has presented the scenic beauty of Leh & Ladakh. Located in a high altitude in the Himalayan Ranges, the salty water of Kumarakom lake is blue.
Cherrapunji
Cherrapunjee seems to be a place quite unknown in our country. The state it belongs to Meghalaya. Cherrapunjee is 56km in distance from Shillong. But during monsoon the clouds are thick and the drive is difficult. The city of Cherrapunjee is 1290 meters above sea level and much of the torrential rain runs off the mountains into the valley below. Another reason why this place has been undiscovered is mainly due to the lack of hotels and lodgings close by.
Majuli
It is located in the beautiful state of Assam. Majauli is known to be the world's largst river island on earth which is nestled in the banks of the Brahmaputra river. This river island which is declared by UNESCO as a world natural heritage, has preserved well the antique weapons, utensils, jewelry and other items of cultural significance of the hundreds of year old Assamese civilization.
Daman & Diu
Enclosed by Gujarat, Daman & Diu is the 2nd smallest Union Territory in India. The reflections of both Gujarati and Portuguese lifestyle can be seen in this part of the country. The far stretching shoreline adds on enchanting charm to this beautiful abode. Dotted by forts and churches.
