Triumph Motorcycles today launched the Tiger 900 range in India for a starting price of Rs 13.70 lakh. Triumph Tiger 900 is not only significantly lighter than the previous Tiger models, but also more powerful, claims the premium two-wheeler manufacturer. The new Tiger 900 is Triumph Motorcycles' fourth major introduction of the Financial Year 2020-21 after 2020 Street Triple RS, Bonneville T100 Black and Bonneville T120 Black. The pre-launch bookings for the 2020 Tiger 900 had commenced last month for a token amount of Rs 50,000. The new Triumph Tiger 900 range has been introduced in India in three variants - GT, Rally and Rally Pro.

The new Tiger 900 range comes with a liquid-cooled, 12-valve, DOHC, in-line 3-cylinder, 888cc engine that delivers 95.2PS at 8,750rpm and 87Nm of peak torque at 7,250rpm. The motor is equipped with multipoint sequential electronic fuel injection system and is paired with a 6-speed gearbox.
The 2020 Tiger 900 sits on a tubular steel frame and is equipped with a cast aluminium alloy twin-sided swingarm. Talking about the specifications of the GT variant, it comes with Marzocchi 45mm USD front forks having 180mm wheel travel and Marzocchi monoshock at the rear with 170mm wheel travel. There are cast alloy wheels (19-inch front and 17-inch rear). The front has twin 320mm floating discs with Brembo Stylema 4 piston monobloc calipers, while the rear gets a single 255mm disc with Brembo single piston sliding caliper.
