Holi is a popular ancient Hindu Festival, also known as the "Festival of Love", the "Festival of Colours", and the "Festival of Spring". The festival celebrates the eternal and divine love of Radha and Krishna. It also signifies the triumph of good over evil. Many People celebrate Holi by playing with colours.

Holi as said is a festival of colours. But this year due to COVID-19 many restrictions are been placed to keep people safe from the infection. So as you gear up for the festival, ensure that the celebrations don't make your skin feel awful.

We suggest that you try to use herbal colours as they are organically made and have fewer chemicals. They are less harmful to your skin compared to chemical-based colours.

Here are a few Pre and Post tips that you should follow:-

Pre Holi Tip

1. Early in the morning before starting the festival apply almond or coconut oil on your skin as it will protect your skin from the chemicals present in the colours. The oil will act as a protective layer between your skin and colour.

2. Do not wear half sleeves clothes try to wear full sleeves one as it will avoid less Skin exposure to the colour.

3. It is also best to apply oil to your hair as it will prevent the colour from sticking. Also do not go for a bath just after fervor let the colour dry and try to remove the colour by using a cotton cloth.

Post Holi Tip

1. Try to remove the colour with a cotton cloth before having a bath. It will help in removing 40% of the colour without using water.

2. While taking the shower use moisturizer or body soap to remove the colour and to get the softness of the skin back.

3. You can also apply turmeric on your body to remove colour ( It is a home remedy but is effective).
