When food tastes too salty...
Depending on the dish you can dilute the excess salt. In soups or stews you can add more water. If you are cooking mashed potatoes, cook up an additional potato and add it to the ruined potatoes. You may also squeeze of lemon or add anything sweet like sugar, honey or brown sugar or anything creamy like milk, cream, yogurt, sour cream etc.
