Third FIR against Raveena Tandon, Farah Khan, Bharti Singh
Ferozepur police have registered an FIR against Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon for allegedly hurting religious sentiments of a community during a television show. This is the second FIR registered against Raveen Tandon. According to the latest update, a second FIR has been registered within a week in Punjab not against actress Raveena Tandon, but also against the director-choreographer Farah Khan and comedian Bharti Singh for hurting the religious sentiments of a community.
On Wednesday, Amritsar police booked the trio in an FIR registered at Ajnala police station on complaint of Sonu Jafar, president of Christian Front in Ajnala. Kamboj Nagar resident filed a complaint against Raveena Tandon, Farah Khan and Bharti Singh. He alleged that the religious sentiments of Christian community have been hurt.
Amritsar Rural SSP Vikramjeet Duggal said, "We have registered a case against the three and investigations are being held." There have been protests at some places in the state Punjab against the three (Raveena Tandon, Farah Khan and Bharti Singh) by Christian outfits. The trio have also been booked in Beed city of Maharashtra in connection with the show aired on the occasion of Christmas.
