Before you start walking, you need a good pair of shoes. So, make
sure to buy shoes that are made specifically for this purpose else you
may hurt yourself. Buy a pair of shoes with flexible soles and stiff
heel counters.
Apart from normal walking regime, you should use every opportunity of
walking. Use stairs instead of elevators and escalators. If you are
going to buy grocery then go on foot. In fact, if you are going to a
friend or relative who lives a mile away then choose walking.
When you walk with someone then you will get motivation to walk more
enthusiastically. So, find a person who is also interested in walking
with you. Walking with a companion makes you to enhance your walking.
