Festivals like Makar Sankranti, Pongal, and Lohri mark the beginning of festivities for the year. The third wave of coronavirus is pushing the world again back to its cages. Amidst the ongoing pandemic and diverse measures adopted to bring back normality in the fitness and overall life of the masses, these festivities mark a great ray of hope to start the year for many who see it much more than annual celebrations this time.

Makar Sankranti is a festival of friends, this year we have missed all the gup-shup and friendly banters we used to have while getting together to celebrate the festival. Due to a sudden surge in the covid case again, it is mandatory to stay at home. This year let’s celebrate this festival in a sweet and cozy way by staying and partying at home.
Jaipurites are beyond excited but also keeping in mind the covid protocols. Markets were seen with creativity loaded, from B-town celebs to politicians. The kite makers left no stone unturned to make the occasion worth remembering. The festivities, which mark the end of the winter solstice, are incomplete without festive delicacies like feenis, til ka laddos, pakodas with highlights that include selfie zones, electric kite flying, and eco-friendly festivities to ensure residents stay in high spirits.Jaipur sky is full of colorful kites Jaipur collector Antar Singh Nehru, released an order that restricts people with the time limit for kite flying. It bans kite flying from early morning 6 am to 8 am and from evening 5 pm to 7 pm till 31st January. Even Jaipur Government bans Chinese manjha for kite flying as it is hazardous for both humans and birds. Many Jaipur-based Ngo came forward to help birds and release helpline number that also helps to coordinate with veterinarians to rescue the injured birds as soon as possible.
