Tea time snack: Hara Bhara kebabs

You feel helpless all the times when it comes to cook something new
and special in snack. Well... as it's winter season so you have ample of
vegetables to cook from. You can also prepare hara bhara kebabs. These
small green coloured kebabs or balls are highly nutritious. Made of
spinach, boiled peas, split bengal gram, cottage cheese and spices,
these delicious kebabs are ultimate evening snack. The sumptuous flavour
of this snack will please everyone in your family. It can also put be
as starter for your parties. Follow this recipe to make Hara Bhara
kebabs easily at home.
Ingredients
1/4 cup chana dal/split bengal gram, 2 tsp
ginger/adrak (finely chopped), 2 tsp garlic/lehsun(finely chopped), 1
tbsp green chillies (finely chopped), 1 cup blanched spinach/palak,1/2
cup boiled green peas, 1/2 cup paneer/cottage cheese (grated),1 tsp
chaat masala, 1/4 tsp garam masala, salt to taste, 1/2 cup plain
flour/maida dissolved with 1/3 cup water, 1/4 cup bread crumbs, oil for
deep-frying

tomato ketchup, green chutney
How to make
First
clean, wash and soak chana dal for 1 hour and drain. Now, put chana
dal, garlic, ginger, green chilies and 1/2 cup of water in a pressure
cooker and cook for 2 whistles. Allow steam to escape. Strain water and
blend chana dal, green peas, spinach altogether in mixer till they get
smooth. Add little water if needed. Now in a bowl transfer the paste and
add 1/4 cup bread crumbs, salt, garam masala, chaat masala and paneer
and mix well. Now make 12 equal portions from mixture and shape each
portion into kebabs. Now dip all kebabs one-by-one into prepared flour-
water paste. Take oil in kadhai and heat it. Deep-fry all kebabs till
they are golden brown in colour from both the sides. Yummy Hara Bhara
kebabs are ready. Serve hot with tomato ketchup and green chutney.
