The Special Investigation Team of CBI conducted a dummy test and recreated scenes at Sushant Singh Rajput's flat in Bandra, Mumbai on August 23. The test was conducted to find out if it is possible to hang oneself from the fan, or if someone else could have hanged him after his death or while he was unconscious.
Mumbai home, found out on July 27 that the kurta used for hanging could bear a weight of up to 200 kg. The Mumbai Police had received a forensic report regarding the tensile strength of the kurta which clarified that it could, in fact, be effectively used for hanging. Traces of the fibre of the kurta also matched with the fibre found on the actor's neck. Post-mortem reports of the actor had confirmed that he had used a kurta to hang himself, following which, the Mumbai Police had sent the same to a forensic lab for tensile strength analysis to determine whether it could bear a weight similar to that of the film star. The test was also carried out to determine if there was any foul play.
Apart from this, the Special Investigation Team of CBI will also explore the possibility of Sushant Singh Rajput being hanged by someone else. The team had performed a dummy test on Day 3 (August 23) of their investigation on Sunday and recreated the scene in the presence of Siddharth Pithani and Neeraj, both of whom were present at the actor's flat when his body was found hanging.
