Skoda Auto India has launched its new Rapid sedan with an automatic transmission unit. The Czech brand has introduced the sedan with a a starting price of Rs 9.49 lakh. The 6-speed automatic is a floor price-friendly torque converter, that was first introduced on the Polo and Vento earlier this month. Power and torque figures remain the same from the Rapid's 1.0-litre turbo-petrol that is rated to 110bhp and 175Nm of peak torque.

Aside from the Rider trim, the Skoda Rapid AT will be available in all trims. The Rider has only been left out as the variant is almost entirely sold out for 2020. Which means that the AT range starts with the Rider Plus and goes all the way up to the top-shelf Monte Carlo editions.
