ShahRukh Khan To Do a Cameo In His Next Film
Nagesh Kukunoor's last film Laxmi highlighted the plight of young girls forced into prostitution in Hyderabad. His next film Dhanak, being made in Marathi hopes to espouse the noble cause of eye donation.
In a bid to give the noble cause an impetus the director got none other than Shah Rukh Khan to do a cameo in the Marathi film. The actor recently shot for two days in Rajasthan. The news of SRK doing a cameo was kept a secret. It has been learnt that Shah Rukh Khan will be playing himself in the film.
Dhanak tells the story of the deep bond that an older sister shares with her blind, younger brother and how she works towards restoring his eyesight before he turns nine.
Dhanak, is the Rajasthani word for rainbow and the film will be screened as Rainbow in foreign markets.
