It's a day to raise awareness about the key role sleep has to play in our lives and help people recognize the burdens sleep problems can bring. Sleeping naked has so many benefits, it's a wonder more people don't try it. It's great for your skin, your health, and your sex life. One in three adults sleep in the nude, according to an international study by the U.S. National Sleep Foundation. Here are 10 reasons sleeping undressed makes you healthier.
Prevents insomnia
A recent Australian study concluded that a drop in core body temperature is needed to initiate sleep. The body pushes the heat out from the core like a radiator and releases it. Sleeping naked allows the heat to release more quickly, and helps you fall asleep faster.
