Curry
leaves Chutney:-
Ingredients
1 cup curry leaves, 2 tsp oil, 2 red
chillies, 1 tbsp urad dal, a pinch of asafetida/hing , 2 tbsp
grated coconut, 1/4 tsp tamarind
paste, salt as needed
For
the seasoning
1 tsp oil,
3/4 tsp mustard seeds
How to make
Take curry leaves. Wash them
and drain the water. In a pan, heat oil. Now add urad dal, red chillies and
hing. Fry until dal turns golden brown.
After this add curry leaves and saute them for 2-3 minutes on low flame. Add
tamarind, grated coconut and salt and cook for a few more seconds. Remove from
flame and leave it to cool. Now grind all ingredients with little water to
make smooth paste. The consistency should be normal. For seasoning, heat oil
and mustard seeds. When seeds splutter, pour the seasoning on the chutney. Serve with idli, dosa, uttapam and
upma.
