Recipe to make Paneer Tikka without Tandoor

Ingredients
For Marination
1/2 tsp lemon juice, 1/2 tsp chilli powder, 1/2 tsp roasted and ground cumin seeds/jeera, 3/4 cup fresh curd, 1/2 tsp ginger/adrak paste,1/2 tsp green chilli paste, 1 tsp black pepper/kalimirch powder, 1/2 tsp carom seeds/ajwain, 1 tsp fennel/saunf powder, 3/4 tsp turmeric/haldi, 1/3 cup besan/bengal gram flour, 1 tsp oil, salt to taste, a few strands saffron/kesar dissolved in 1 tbsp of milk
Other Ingredients
12 paneer (cottage cheese) cut into 50 mm cubes, 1 tbsp oil for cooking,
1 tsp chaat masala, 1 tbsp coriander/dhania (finely chopped), onion (cubed), capsicum (cubed), tomato (cubed)
How to make
First prepare marination by taking lemon juice, chilli powder, roasted and ground cumin seeds, fresh curd, ginger paste, green chilli paste, black pepper powder, carom seeds, fennel, turmeric, bengal gram flour, oil, salt and saffron strands in a bowl. Now combine paneer pieces and in marinade. Toss gently and keep aside to marinate for at least half an hour. Arrange 3 pieces of paneer on a satay stick along with cubes of onion, capsicum and tomato. Now arrange the remaining paneer pieces and veggies on 3 more satay sticks. Heat a non- stick tava and cook the satays on medium flame using oil till paneer gets light brown in colour from all sides. Paneer tikka is ready. Serve immediately sprinkled with chaat masala and coriander.
