Recipe: How to make Paneer Butter Masala

Paneer butter masala is another delicacy from North India with paneer cubes cooked in a rich and buttery tomato gravy.
Ingredients
500
gms paneer cut into cubes, 4 tbsp butter, 1 tbsp oil, 1 bay leaf, 2
cloves, 1 cinnamon stick, 2 dry red chillies, 2 tbsp coriander seeds
crushed, 1 onion sliced, 1tbsp ginger-garlic paste, 3 pureed tomatoes, 1
tbsp coriander powder, 1 tbsp red chilli powder, 1 tbsp turmeric
powder, salt to taste, 1 tbsp kasoori methi, 1tbsp fresh cream, 1/2
water
How to make
In a pan, heat 2 tbsp butter and 1
tbsp oil. Add bay leaf, broken red chillies, crushed coriander seeds,
cinnamon, cloves and saute for a minute.
Add the sliced onions and fry on medium flame for 4-5 minutes. Add ginger-garlic paste and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
Add the turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder and tomato puree. Cook on medium flame for 5-6 minutes.
Add
in the paneer pieces to the mixture gently. Add water, salt and mix
well. Sprinkle kasoori methi over the curry and cook on a low flame for
5-6 minutes.
Garnish with the remaining butter and fresh cream. Serve hot.
