Vegetables
Vegetables are rich in minerals and vitamins for
a healthy body and strong, healthy nails. Sweet potatoes, carrots and
dark green vegetables like broccoli and asparagus are high in vitamin A.
Carrots also contain vitamin B6, while spinach and other leafy green
vegetables have calcium, iron and antioxidants. According to American
Dermatological Society spokesperson Dr. D'Anne Kleinsmith, nails can
curve if the body lacks iron.
Whole Grains
To maintain strong nails, it is necessary to
fight free radicals. These free radicals tend to damage your skin and
hair. Oats, brown rice and other sprouted grains are rich in
antioxidants that fight these free radicals. They also contain silica
which maintains strong nails.
