The guidelines that BN Tiwari outlined were: shooting of TV shows would resume but one inspector and ambulance should always be present on the sets at all times. Only 50 per cent workers of the crew would be allowed to work and the producer will have to pay a compensation of Rs 50 lakh to the worker's family, if he or she dies of the novel coronavirus, while working with them.
A couple of days ago, FWICE members wrote a letter to Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and requested for permission to resume the post-production work on films and TV shows even as Maharashtra is under lockdown. To contain the spread of Covid-19, various film bodies including the FWICE had decided to suspend the shooting of films, TV shows and web series from March 19. PM Narendra Modi announced a nationwide lockdown on March 24 and since then, nearly all industries have been at a standstill.
