The women applicants who are unable to get admission in a Delhi University college due to lower cut-off or a shortage of time don't need to feel disappointed anymore. They can now apply to DU's Non-Collegiate Women's Education Board (NCWEB), which offers two courses at the undergraduate level, including the BA Programme and B. Com. NCWEB, which started its admission process for undergraduate courses on June 1, is now fully online. The female candidates can fill online admission to continue their admission process. The deadline to fill the application form is June 19; the first cutoff list is expected to be released in the second week of July. The admissions under this will continue for the next three days post which the second cutoff will be released. There will be a total of five cutoff lists that will be released by the board.

There are a total of 13 colleges under Delhi University where the classes will be conducted for the students enrolled at NCWEB, which includes renowned Hansraj College, and Jesus and Mary College as well. The classes at these colleges will be held only on the weekends and will be offered only to the female candidates. The female students, who are not able to attend full-time regular Delhi University colleges due to any reason, can consider an option to study from the Non-Collegiate Women's Education Board (NCWEB). The only condition to study over here is that the female students must be residents of the NCT Delhi. NCWEB is one of the kinds of non-formal education centers at the Delhi University allowing the female students who are residents of the NCT Delhi region to pursue a course in BA or B.Com programs or to get admission in one of the 11 postgraduate programs that are taught over there.

At present, there are more than 12,168 undergraduate NCWEB seats, which the students can avail at 26 of its centers. There are 284 BA and 184 BCom seats at each center. The admission to the undergraduate programs will be granted according to the cut-off percentage, which is lower than regular colleges.

More than 50% of the students applying at NEWEB belong to the category who have a lower percentage to get admission at regular Delhi University colleges. The other includes the ones who are busy doing some other courses or jobs during the weekday. The students who join NCWEB have to attend the classes once a week at the centers, which can be either on a Saturday or Sunday assigned as per the cutoffs, thereby giving them greater flexibility.

NCWEB that grants two undergraduate courses is preferred by the female students who want to do a professional course along with doing a UG degree as well to explore wider opportunities. Non-Collegiate students are not permitted to do any other full-time degree course. To ensure that the rule is followed by all the students, it is mandatory for the students applying at NCWEB to submit their original certificates at the time of admission. Also, they have to deposit the annual fee as well which is almost INR 3,500 per year. No fees will be charged by disabled students.

According to Anju Gupta, officiating director NCWEB, the working women students get enough time to do a professional course and can even do a job as well as they are free for five days a week. The classes at NCWEB will be conducted only on Saturdays and Sundays allowing the students to do a career enhancement courses over weekdays. NCWEB is becoming the top-most choice among the women students with high grades looking to pursue a profession or any professional course. Even the students who have scored more than 90 % are joining NCWEB as it allows them to continue doing a professional course or a job as well along with getting a degree in BA or B.Com.

The exams will be conducted along with the students of regular Delhi University colleges. The students joining NCWEB need to stay updated about the information displayed on the Notice Board, no information will be sent individually to the students through the post.
