Alia Bhatt will be seen playing a Tam-Brahm girl studying in IIMA in Sajid Nadiadwala and Karan Johar's film '2 States'.

Based on Chetan Bhagat's best selling novel of the same name, '2 States' stars Alia Bhatt as Tamilian and Arjun Kapoor as a Punjabi boy who fall in love while studying at a business school.

With the new poster out, the makers introduce the audience to Alia and Arjun's family in the film. Amrita Singh will play Arjun's mother while Ronit Roy will step into the shoes of the Punjabi father. On the other hand, Revathy will play Alia's mother in the film.
