1/2 cup broken wheat, 1/4 cup sugar,
1 tsp cardamom powder, 1/4 cup ghee, 1cup warm water, few almonds blanched (for
garnishing), few pistachios blanched (for garnishing
How to make
Heat ghee in a pan and add broken
wheat. Fry broken wheat on high flame till it turns pinkish brown. Now add warm
water and cook on a medium flame until most of water gets evaporated. If wheat
is hard, add more water to cook it. When water evaporates, add sugar and stir
well. When ghee starts oozing out from sides of the pan, lapsi is ready. Add
cardamom powder. Serve lapsi hot garnished with blanched almonds and pistachios.
