Basundi:-
Ingredients
2 litre full milk, 1/2 cup sugar,
1/2 tsp cardamom powder, 7-8 starnds saffron (soaked in 2 tbsps of warm milk), 1/4
cup sliced pistachios, 7-8 almonds (blanched and peeled), 1/2 tbsp chironji
How to make
Boil milk in a large vessel on high
flame. When it comes to a boil, reduce the flame to low and allow to sim for
12-15 minutes and stir. Add sugar and keep stirring constantly. Let the milk
thickens. This could take 45 to 50 mts. Add
cardamom powder and mix well. Turn off flame and allow it to cool down. Take basundi
in a serving bowl. Garnish with the chopped almonds, pistachios and saffron
strands.
