Learn to make yummy Plum cake at home

Ingredients
1 cup all purpose flour, 1/2 cup
chopped cashew nuts, 1/4 cup black raisins, 1/2 cup mixed dry fruits (dates,
cherries, orange peels), 1and 1/2 cups white sugar, 2/3 cup butter, 3 eggs, 1
clove (ground), 1 cardamom pod (ground), small piece of cinnamon (ground), a
pinch nutmeg (ground), 1 tsp baking powder, 1 tsp vanilla extract, a pinch of
salt
How to make
To make plum cake, first caramelize
sugar. Take a pan. On medium heat, melt 1/2 cup sugar slowly. It will turn into
a dark brown goop. Keep stirring and let it turn dark in colour. Turn off heat
and add about 1/4 cup water. Turn on flame and slowly heat the mixture until
the sugar crystals dissolve. This will take around 10 mins. Let this cool and
set aside. Now pre-heat oven to 350F or 180 degree Celsius. Now add 3 tbsp all
purpose flour to dry fruits and nuts and dredge completely to coat it. Put it aside.
Mix remaining all purpose flour, baking powder, clove powder, cardamom pod powder,
small piece of cinnamon powder, nutmeg powder and salt until well combined.
Now, beat butter and 1 cup sugar together until they get. Add vanilla essence
and mix until combined. Add 1 egg and beat. Then add a bit of the flour mixture
and fold. Now repeat this process for remaining two eggs. Add cooled caramel
and dredged fruits and gently fold in. Grease a cake mould with butter. Pour
batter into a greased cake mould and smooth the top. Put it inside oven and bake
for 50-55 mins until the top turns a dark brown. Serve the delicious plum cake when
it gets cooled.
