In winters, you have been asked to eat healthy and nutritious food
more. Mothers cook varieties of sweets for the whole winters. Badam Pak
is one of such yummy sweet dishes. This amazing dessert has been
originated in South India and available in sweets shops. Made with
adequate amount of almonds and ghee, Badam Pak is an ultimate sweet to
eat in winters. It's not only satisfies your sweet craving but also
nourishes your body with goodness of almonds. As this delicacy contains
normal sugar hence it can be eaten by everyone. Learn the recipe to cook
yummy and healthy Badam Pak at home.
Ingredients:-
1 cup rose water, 500 gms sugar, 300 gms
mava/khoya, 500 gms almonds/badam (blanched and grated), 250 gms ghee,
10 cardamoms/elaichi (powdered), 1/2 nutmeg/jaiphal (powdered), sliced
almonds/badam and pistachios (for garnish)
How to make
First
boil rose water and sugar in pan. Bring them to boil and turn off the
gas. Now add mava, almonds and ghee. Mix all ingredients well and cook
on a slow fire stirring constantly with wooden spoon until the almond
mixture leaves the sides of the pan. Mix the cardamom powder and nutmeg
powder. Now, grease a thali with ghee and spread the mixture on it.
Allow the mixture to cool a bit and cut into squares. Yummy and healthy
Badam Pak is ready to eat.
