Huawei's new facial-recognition technology 10 times better than Apple's Face ID
The caveat? The technology in its current state takes 10 seconds to create the 3D model. Huawei claims that this technology is not only secure enough for payments but is also extremely fast. When perfected, Huawei claims it will take just 400 milliseconds to unlock the phone. It is not known at the moment exactly when Huawei plans to ship this technology in any phone. This announcement was just meant to show to the world that they are working on a facial recognition tech which is superior to the one used by Apple.
