Gender Roles? What Gender Roles?
On a basic level, it's great to see two women get to lead a half-hour comedy series that's pretty much 100 percent their vision. The more ammo against the myth that women aren't as funny as men, the better, and cheers to Comedy Central for giving Glazer and Jacobson the opportunity to do their own thing. But what's even more refreshing is how they obliterate preconceived notions of how gender is supposed to inform comedy.
