Heart It
Tuesday blues?! Let`s help you get over it. These beautiful images showing horses gleefully frolicking in Icelandic mountain ranges will definitely make your day. The album belongs to Icelander Bragi J Ingibergsson who has been taking pictures of horses since he was a kid. The horses of Iceland roam the northern mountains freely in summer. Local farmers believe it to be the magic behind their strong personalities and sturdiness. In the autumn, they herd the horses back home according to their tradition named `gongur`. The Icelandic horse is a breed of horse developed in Iceland. Icelandic law prevents horses from being imported into the country and exported animals are not allowed to return. The breed is still used for traditional sheepherding work in its native country, as well as for leisure, showing, and racing.
