Google Meet has added a new feature that would let users raise hands virtually during video meetings. The video conferencing platform has added a Raise Hand button at the bottom of the screen. Users can click on the button to speak or ask a question during a meeting. When you click on the button, the meeting host will see it and answer your queries accordingly.
Video meeting participants can now let you know if they have a question or indicate that they would like to speak by raising their hand in Meet. In large meetings, this helps to increase participation while not disrupting the flow of the conversation and helps to prevent people from interrupting one another," Google said in a blog.
So if you want to ask questions in the middle of a meeting or say something, you can use the raise hands button to make yourself heard. It is better to notify the moderator before blurting out something in a jiffy or interrupt the speaker. When the button is clicked, the moderators get to know about it. Once you are done speaking, you can click on the same button to lower your hand.
