How to make:-
Dal
Wash and clean chana dal, arhar, green moong dal and urad daal separately. Now in a pressure cooker combine all dals with 4 cups of water and salt. Put pressure cooker on flame till 3 whistles. Before opening the lid of cooker, allow steam to escape. In kadhai, heat ghee and add cloves, bayleaves, cumin seeds, green chillies and asafoetida. Fry all ingredients on medium flame for few seconds. Now add garlic paste and onions and saute on medium flame for 2-3 minutes. Add tomatoes, coriander powder, turmeric powder, chilli powder and garam masala and fry on medium flame for 2 more minutes. Now add cooked dals along with the water in mixture and salt. Mix well. Cook again on medium flame for few minutes. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and mix well.
Batis
In a deep bowl, take wheat flour, rava, besan, milk, melted ghee, saunf, ajwain, salt to taste and ghee and mix well. Knead semi-stiff dough with using less water. Now make balls from dough. Flatten the rounds and make a small indentation in the center of baatis using your thumb. Now heat the gas oven and cook batis on low flame till they turn golden brown in colour. When batis are hot apply good amount of ghee on them.
