As we all know, mosquitoes are not only irritating, but can lead to several serious diseases. Linked to diseases like malaria, dengue, chikungunya, elephantiasis and many more vector-borne diseases, mosquitoes are a big menace to humanity. Here are eight plants to keep away mosquito from house.

Marigolds
As a popular annual, marigolds are always found in flower beds and containers during the summer months, but their mosquito-repelling ability hasn't been widely advertised. Many gardeners use them in the veggie garden to deter other insects, but as a mosquito repellent, marigolds are powerful.

Lemon Balm
It is also popularly known as Horsemint - due to it is strong smell it has the ability to keep the insects and mosquitoes away. It is very much similar to a famous plant called Citronella grass.

Cadaga tree
Cadaga tree can repel mosquitoes simply by being planted in an area where mosquitoes are not wanted. The scent from the tree acts as a barrier to repel mosquitoes.

Tulsi
Tulsi was extremely effective in killing mosquito larvae and helped keep mosquitoes away. The plant has properties that not only help you to get rid of mosquitoes in your house but also prevent them from entering your house.
