She said: 'The whole thing made me incredibly insecure because I didn't feel deserving of it at all, and that made me over-compensate because I felt so out of my element. I sort of over-compensated into the "oh yeah, I got this".'
Despite spending years living and working in Hollywood, Emmy is adamant she won't fall into the trap of many of her contemporaries by developing drug problems.
