Navratri is the festival of worshiping Nav Durga with full devotions and enthusiasm. The festival is celebrated according to the states. Kolkata fulfills with colours of Durga Puja, where as maharastra and Gujrat devotees enjoy the festival with dandiya. But one thing common in all, are their colourful outfits. There are some of the particular colours for each day of Navratri.

First day
On the first day of Navratri, this Goddess is dressed in a Grey saree and on Ghatasthapana which is done that is installation of earthen pot. The colour to wear on the first day for devotees is Yellow.
