Ingredients

1 cup gram flour, 1 ghee, 1/2 cup vegetable oil, 1 and 1/2 cup sugar, 1 cup water

How to make

First sift gram flour to get rid of the lumps.  Take a tray and grease it ghee.  Now, take water in a heavy bottomed pan and add sugar to it. Boil water and sugar together until you get 1 string consistency.  Check the consistency of sugar syrup with fingers. Now add flour slowly in to pan and keep stirring. Mix until smooth. Keep it on medium flame. Mix well and start adding ghee slowly. Add ghee-oil mixture continuously like 2-3 tbsp at a time. Keep stirring until the ghee mixes and then add the next batch of ghee and repeat until you finish the ghee. Gradually the mixture starts leaving pan. This becomes frothy and porous.  Now turn off the gas and transfer the mixture to greased plate. Let it cool down completely before cutting into pieces. Cut Mysore Pak into rectangle shape. Serve delicious Mysore Pak to your friends and family on special occasions of Diwali.
