Dev Patel becomes 3rd Indian actor to be nominated at the Oscars
Dev Patel is the 13th Asian actor to be considered in the list. The first Indian origin Oscar nominee was The Dark Angel star Merle Oberon in 1935. Oberon was half Indian and half Sri Lankan. The second was Ben Kingsley nominated for House of Sand and Fog way back in 2004.
