Malai Gulab Jamun:-
Ingredients
1 cup all purpose flour, 2 tbsp sooji, 1 tsp baking powder, 1/2 cup full cream powder milk, 2 cups milk, 2 tbsp pure ghee, ghee for frying
for sugar syrup
4 cups water, 2 cups sugar
for filling
1 cup thick fresh cream/malai, 1cup desicated coconut, few almonds slices
How to make
In a bowl, take all purpose flour, sooji, powder milk, ghee, baking powder and milk. Mix all ingredients well to make soft dough. Cover dough and keep aside for 2 hours. Now prepare sugar syrup. Boil water and add sugar to it. Stir it till sugar dissolves completely. Let sugar syrup cool down. Now make elongated jaumuns from dough by applying little ghee in your palms. Heat ghee in frying pan and deep fry jamun balls. Drain ghee and then add balls in sugar syrup. Keep balls soaked in sugar syrup for 2 hours. Now, gently squeeze out the syrup and make a slit in gulab jamun and fill in the cream and a slice of almond. Serve the gulab jamuns rolled in the desicated coconut.
