David Dhawan Birthday Bash
David Dhawan (born Rajinder Dhawan in Agartala, Tripura, India) is an Indian film director. He studied at the Film and Television Institute of India, Pune.
Dhawan started off as an editor before moving into directing. He specializes in directing comedy films. His biggest success to date is 1993's Aankhen, starring Govinda and Chunkey Pandey. His Partner (2007) also became a big success at the box office.
Dhawan is married to Karuna and has two children, Rohit Dhawan and Varun Dhawan. Rohit debuted as a director with the film Desi Boyz, while Varun was launched as an actor in Karan Johar's Student Of The Year. Dhawan's brother is an actor, Anil Dhawan.
