Those of you who spent all winter preparing your abs for spring 2013's irrepressible crop tops can now focus your athletic attention elsewhere. While crops will still be sticking around, it seems that spring 2014 is the season of the upper thigh--a sensitive area that was mercilessly displayed in collections by Altuzarra, Alexander Wang, and Costello Tagliapietra. Mr Altuzarra took the sexiest approach with skirts bound together by string ties. Mr Wang's slits emerged from logo dresses.

Costello Tagliapietra's take was demure by comparison, paired with flats and a conservatively-cut top. It was also the best lesson in how to take the look from the runway onto the street.
