CWG 2018: Women shines this year with 13 gold, 11 silver, 7 bronze

India has scored more than 500 medals in Commonwealth Games. India's most successful campaign was in 2010 at the New Delhi Commonwealth Games where the country won a total of 101 medals (38 gold). In 2002 Manchester Games, India won a total of 69 medals with 30 gold, 22 silver and 17 bronze medals. In Glasgow, India had won a total of 64 medals (15 gold, 30 silver, 19 bronze). 1958 was the fourth time India participated in Commonwealth Games. India won its first gold medal in these games.
This year, India won total to 66 medals in 2018 CWG. India won 26 gold, 20 silver and 20 bronze medals to finish behind Australia and England, making it the third most successful Commonwealth Games for the country. Here are the list of total women winner at 2018 CWG.
13 GOLD
Manu Bhaker
Manu Bhaker struck gold and took India's gold medal tally to six after a dominating performance in women's 10m Air Pistol finals event. Bhaker produced a spectacular performance, setting a new CWG record with a total of 240.9 points in the final round.
M.C. Mary Kom
M.C. Mary Kom won 45-48 kg category boxing event, claiming gold in her debut Commonwealth Games. Mary Kom is an Indian Olympic boxer hailing from the Kom tribe in Manipur. She is a five-time World Amateur Boxing champion, and the only woman boxer to have won a medal in each one of the six world championships.
Saina Nehwal
Saina Nehwal clinched women's singles gold in badminton. Saina Nehwal became the first Indian to win two singles golds at the Commonwealth Games after defeating PV Sindhu 21-18, 23-21 in a high-octane final in the women's singles in Commonwealth Games 2018. Saina had also won the title in 2010 in New Delhi.
