Cook Makhani Paneer Biryani at your home

Ingredients
6 cups cooked Basmati rice, 250 gm paneer
cubes, 3 tbsp ghee, 2 tbsp whole spices (cinnamon, cloves, black
cardamom, green cardamom, black peppercorns, mace), 1 large onion
(chopped coarsely), 3 tbsp butter, 2 cups fresh tomato puree, 3 green
chillies, 4 cloves of garlic, 1 tbsp ginger, (peeled and chopped), 1 tsp
turmeric powder, 1 tsp cumin-coriander powder, 1 tsp tandoori masala,
1/2 tsp cardamom powder, 1 tsp sugar, 1/4 cup cashew paste, 1/2 cup
cream, salt to taste, 1 cup fried onions, 1/2 cup almonds, 1/2 cup mint
and coriander (chopped)
How to make
First take a
pan and fry paneer cubes in ghee. Then season it to taste and set aside.
In the same pan, add all the whole spices and allow them to crackle.
When the spices crackled, add chopped onions, green chillies, ginger and
garlic. Fry all the ingredients for 2 minutes. Add turmeric powder,
cumin-coriander powder, tandoori masala, salt, cardamom powder and
sugar. Then add tomato puree. Cook on low flames for 10-15 minutes. Now
add cashew paste and cream. Add paneer cubes into the gravy and cook on
simmer flames for 6-8 minutes. Take a greased baking dish or handi.
Spread the layer of paneer first and then rice. Repeat this process of
spreading layer in the same manner one more time. Garnish it with fried
almonds, fresh mint and coriander. Cover with aluminium foil or heat
gently for 25 minutes. Makhni Paneer Biryani. Serve hot.
