BMW launched its 8 Series Gran Coupe and M8 Coupe in India. Both models are available to order at all BMW dealerships. The price of the BMW 840i Gran Coupe starts at Rs. 1,29,90,000 and goes up to Rs. 1,55,00,000 for the M Sport variant. The BMW M8 Coupe will cost Rs. 2,15,00,000. The BMW 8 Series Gran Coupe is powered by a 3-litre, 6-cylinder in-line BSVI petrol engine. This is the most luxurious sports coupe ever built by BMW, the company said in a statement.
The 8 Series Gran Coupe is a four-door sports car and gets the title of the most luxurious sports coupe BMW has ever made. The M Sport Edition is its sportier cousin and comes with a number of design elements and features for improved performance. The M8 Coupe, however, is two-door four-seater sports car belonging to the famed M Series range in BMW's portfolio. Buyers of these two luxury cars will also become a part of the company's BMW Excellence Club.
Both the cars get athletic proportions and aggressive design tenet. They come sporting double kidney-grille, muscular bumper, large air intakes, numerous creases on the bonnet and along the sides, and wrap-around LED tail lights. These elements, along with Coupe roofline, sleek LED headlamps, flared wheel arches, and sport exhaust system make 8 Series Gran Coupe and M8 Coupe look their part of performance-oriented machines. As compared to standard 840i Gran Coupe, the 840i M Sport Edition gets BMW lazer lights, larger air intakes, especially designed side skirts and rear apron with diffuser, and different style for the alloy wheels. M8 Coupe, though looks similar to 8 Series coupe, gets a number of M-specific design elements. These include hexagonal kidney grille with double slats, BMW lazer lights, wider air intakes, carbon-fibre roof, M-specific rear diffuser, double-flow exhaust system, extra-large air curtains, rear spoiler, etc.
