But Tai Glenn, the executive director of Los Angeles's Levitt & Quinn Family Law Center argues that this new increase in divorces may be more prevalent among high-income households.

Ms Glenn says that her firm has not yet seen an uptick in divorces among low-wage families, explaining to the Los Angeles Times that 'the people we see here are those that live on the margins, from pay check to pay check. For them, the recovery hasn't really hit.'
