In this area of India, Makar Sankranti is a four-day affair. The festival here is celebrated, in remarks of worshipping cattle. At the start of the first day, people burn the old things in the bonfire while dancing and singing around it. The city gets painted with colors, as people buy new clothes, draw rangoli, and sweets exchange is simple practices people do to celebrate this festival.
