Sanaya Irani was born in Mumbai to a Parsi family. Irani spent seven years in a boarding school in Ooty. Following this, she graduated from Sydenham College and was pursuing an MBA degree before becoming a model. She is best known for the role of 'Khushi Kumari Gupta' in "Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon". Her looks are to die for and her beauty is amplified with her superb skills of performing arts. She has appeared in many daily sopas like Left Right Left, Miley Jab Ham Tum and many more. She has also hosted TV show Zara Nachke Dikha - Season 2.
She was born and raised in Mumbai though she is of a Persian descent. She has two siblings - a brother and a sister who resides in Chicago, U.S.
If not an actor she would have become an interior or a fashion designer.
Her first portfolio was taken by photographer, now actor Boman Irani.
She continued doing commercials and music videos for four years before she bagged Left Right Left.
