Airlift: How was it actually executed?
It was 2nd August, 1990 that Iraq invaded Kuwait following the orders of Saddam Hussain. Kuwait was then home to around 1,70,000 Indians who were suddenly rendered homeless. The Iraqi army looted the city and people found themselves helpless at the hands of their soldiers. In the mist of growing tension, the Indian Government collaborated with the Indian Army, Air India and initiated this heroic operation that immediately added up to the pages of history.
